As an Intellectual Property Paralegal, Jaceene Margolin is responsible for handling a wide variety of administrative duties for the attorneys and support staff. Her duties include preparing correspondence and other documentation, and reviewing and processing all incoming mail. Throughout her day, Jaceene is also responsible for importing and exporting data from Intellectual Property related databases and case management databases.
Jaceene received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles in 2008. She was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science National Honors Society. Jaceene went back to Cal State Los Angeles, receiving her paralegal certificate with distinction, graduating with a 3.9 GPA in 2013.
Jaceene completed an eight month internship with the Law Office of the Los Angeles Public Defender in June of 2014. The experience provided valuable insight into the criminal justice system. She worked closely with attorneys on a wide variety of cases, and was able to interact directly with clients. She was also able to apply the skills she learned in the classroom, while working alongside paralegals in the court room.
Jaceene began her career working with two software companies. She enjoyed learning the business side of technology and excelled at every position she held in each firm. She has a history of account management and project management experience. Jaceene is a member of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association. She keeps her industry knowledge sharp by attending learning seminars and functions throughout the year.
Jaceene is a Southern California native who loves taking advantage of all Los Angeles has to offer. She enjoys weekend hikes in Runyon Canyon, relaxing by the beach, checking out a museum, shopping at her local farmer’s market, and visiting numerous local attractions. She is always excited to explore a changing neighborhood like downtown or Culver City – especially the restaurants. You can also find her guiding guests through the historic canals and boardwalk of Venice Beach as part of the walking tour she created. Having lived and worked in Washington, D.C. for three years, Jaceene loves the east coast too. She makes a point to travel back east at least once a year.
