| New York, February 28, 2024: Sherman IP LLP, an Intellectual Property law firm (“Sherman IP”; www.ShermanIP.com) and Zeichner Ellman & Krause LLP, a New York based full-service business law firm (“ZEK”; www.zeklaw.com) are excited to announce that they have entered into a formal affiliation agreement, effective immediately.
Pursuant to this affiliation, Sherman IP and ZEK will be able to offer the services of each other’s practice groups to their clients and jointly market to new clients while still maintaining their own characteristics, separate operations, and direct client relationships. Each firm will be able to offer unified administrative functions to streamline clients’ law firm experiences across both law firms while allowing clients to engage additional professionals and resources, and to pursue further types of legal matters. Each of Sherman IP’s and ZEK’s clients and teams will continue engagements in existing legal matters and goals as they have always done while also having access to newer and more expansive legal services, attorneys, and resources.

This affiliation with ZEK expands Sherman IP’s legal services both vertically with additional talent and horizontally from IP legal services to more generalized business legal services. Sherman IP will now offer ZEK’s business legal services to its clients who can still maintain the continuity of their known relationship with the Sherman IP team.
ZEK is a powerhouse in general business-related legal services. ZEK provides services in banking, business litigation and controversies, including intellectual property litigation, corporate finance and structuring, commercial transactions, employment law, insurance, banking, real estate, product liability, government regulatory and white-collar defense. Many of those services directly complement Sherman IP’s own boutique patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and other intellectual property strengths. ZEK has its head offices in New York City, but also brings offices in Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Tel Aviv, Israel.
